As a provider of NHS care, DHC is required to prepare an annual Quality Account for submission to Surrey Heartlands Health & Care Partnership, who is responsible for planning and commissioning health services for our local population.
Our Quality Account is a report that provides information about the quality of services we deliver to patients and how we have worked to improve these. The quality of services is measured by looking at patient safety, the effectiveness of patient care and patient feedback. DHC aims to continually improve and innovate through an enhanced governance framework and rigorous monitoring of our processes and the experience of patients across all our services.
We are very pleased that our latest Quality Account has just been approved by Surrey Heartlands ICB (Integrated Care Board). We would like to thank all our staff, clinical teams and GP practices for pulling together to achieve such high standards of patient care while dealing with the post-pandemic hangover of long waiting times, surging demand and workforce shortages.

“Looking back at the 2022/23 quality priorities, the ICB commends Dorking Healthcare for improvements including: treating an increased number of patients at sites closer to their home; reduced diagnostic waiting lists across several areas through increasing clinic capacity; and reducing routine waiting times to under 6 weeks in 7 specialities against the backdrop of high-demand following COVID-19.”
