Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapist (1 year fixed term contract)

Location: Based at locations throughout Surrey

Salary: £29,453 pa

DHC Talking Therapy is now recruiting for Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapists as part of the IAPT programme. We deliver evidence based psychological therapies for people with anxiety and depression.

Are you an experienced mental health or social care worker with a recognised professional qualification working in a mental health setting? Have you considered training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)?

Applications are invited from qualified clinical or counselling psychological therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. Candidates will be applying for the one year full-time IAPT Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Intervention (CBT) based at Canterbury Christchurch University.  Applicants without a core profession (such as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners or Counsellors without UKCP or BACP accreditation) must be able to meet the required KSA process criteria (see the BABCP website for more information).

 The training programme consists of three working days within the Dorking Healthcare (DHC) IAPT service and two days at the University taught by experts in the field.

 You will be enthusiastic, hard-working, share our passion for great patient care and have the capability to meet specified targets.

 DHC is a patient focused and pro-active community based provider and have strong links with both GPs and our colleagues in secondary care mental health. We have a strong commitment to delivering high quality community oriented services, and to working in partnership with service users, carers, health and social care agencies and voluntary agencies.

We are a dynamic, supportive and creative service, who provide a high level of training and supervision to all clinical practitioners at all levels.

The closing date for applications is 25 January 2019.
Applicants must be available for interview on the 13th February and successful candidates able to start on the 25th March.
